Kyrgyzstan students excel at International Olympiad in Informatics

Students from Kyrgyzstan have demonstrated exceptional performance at the 38th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2026), held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Kyrgyz team proudly returned with two silver and two bronze medals, showcasing a perfect medal acquisition rate.

In the overall team standings, Kyrgyzstan secured an impressive 20th place out of 97 participating countries. This achievement represents the nation's most successful outcome in the history of its participation in the IOI, highlighting a significant advancement in the country's informatics education and talent development.

The Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan reported the successful results, attributing the students' triumph to their dedication and the effective guidance provided by their coaches. The participating students were supported by a dedicated team of trainers, including Kylychbek Uraimov, Aidar Munduzbaev, Vyacheslav Muravyev, Anatoly Ignatiev, and Mederbek Osmonov.

The International Olympiad in Informatics is a prestigious annual competition for high school students, attracting top talent from around the globe. This year's event saw 379 students competing, making Kyrgyzstan's accomplishment even more noteworthy.
