Kyrgyzstan to purchase $2.4 million robotic surgical system for pediatric oncology

Kyrgyzstan is set to acquire advanced medical equipment for its pediatric oncology services, with a tender announced for a robotic surgical system valued at 209.5 million soms. The National Center for Maternal and Child Welfare initiated the procurement process, aiming to enhance minimally invasive surgical capabilities for young cancer patients.

The robotic surgical system is intended for complex procedures, offering a less invasive approach that can lead to faster recovery times for children. The state procurement portal details that the acquisition is a significant investment in specialized medical technology.

According to the tender specifications, the chosen supplier will be responsible for the complete delivery and setup of the equipment in Bishkek within 90 days of the contract's signing. Beyond installation, the supplier must also provide comprehensive training for medical personnel and ongoing maintenance services to ensure the system's optimal performance and longevity. The robotic system must be new, unused, and equipped with advanced features such as multiple manipulators, high-definition 3D visualization, and a large monitor, supporting various visualization modes and including simulator training and initial surgery supervision.
