Kyrgyzstan women's team reaches Asian Beach Volleyball Championship final

The Kyrgyzstan women's national beach volleyball team has made history by qualifying for the final round of the Asian Championship. This marks the first time the team has reached this stage of the prestigious tournament, showcasing a significant achievement for Kyrgyzstani sports.

The team, comprised of Ogulai Kudaikulova and Adina Mamatjan kyzy, competed in the Central Asian Volleyball Confederation (CAVA) championship held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. They demonstrated strong performance throughout the tournament, securing two victories in the group stage against Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. This success propelled them into the semifinals.

In the semifinal match, the Kyrgyz duo defeated another team from Uzbekistan, earning their place in the final. Their opponent in the final will be yet another pair from Uzbekistan. This remarkable performance has not only secured their spot in the Asian Championship final but also qualified them for the main Asian Championship event, scheduled to take place from September 2-6 in Zhangjiakou, China.

Furthermore, reaching the semifinals of this championship grants teams qualification berths for the World Championship. The ultimate winner of the Asian Championship will also earn a coveted spot in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, adding further significance to the team's historic achievement.
