La Furia del Libro Achieves Record Attendance

La Furia del Libro, a prominent literary event, achieved its highest attendance in history during its winter 2026 edition. The four-day event, held at the Centro Cultural Estación Mapocho, drew an unprecedented 66,000 visitors. This figure marks a significant milestone, representing the largest turnout in the festival's 17-year history and across its 25 editions.

Carolina Ruiz, director of La Furia del Libro, emphasized the importance of this record attendance. "This turnout is a very significant signal," she stated. "These results show that there is a growing interest in reading, books, and spaces for cultural exchange. La Furia del Libro has grown alongside a diverse, curious, and committed reading community."

The literary festival took place from May 28 to 31. Looking ahead, two more editions are scheduled for 2026. La Furia Ilustrada, dedicated to illustration, narrative, and graphic arts, will be held from October 9 to 11. Following that, La Furia de Verano will take place from December 17 to 20. Both of these upcoming events will be hosted at the Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral (GAM).
