La Viena announces friendly schedule ahead of new professional season

Egyptian club La Viena has unveiled its schedule for the initial phase of preseason friendlies as they gear up for the 2026-2027 professional league season. The team aims to achieve optimal readiness before the new campaign kicks off.

La Viena began their friendly series against Siqara and will face the Emirati club Al-Hosn this week in a match designed to enhance the players' technical and physical conditioning. The third friendly is scheduled for July 30th against Al Ahly at the Mokhtar El-Tetsh Stadium. This encounter is seen as a crucial test for the coaching staff, led by Ahmed Nabil Manga, to assess the players' performance against one of Egypt's top football clubs.

The club has announced a fourth friendly match for August 4th, with the opponent yet to be confirmed. La Viena's technical staff intends to maximize these matches to reach peak fitness levels and implement tactical strategies effectively before the season opener.

In other club news, La Viena's football committee, chaired by Mr. Mahmoud El-Assiouty, has secured two new signings. Midfielder Ziad Youssef, born in 2005 and formerly of Enppi, has signed a three-year contract. Additionally, Mahmoud El-Khatib, known as Pipo, a playmaker born in 2006 from Al Mokawloon Al Arab, has agreed to a four-year deal. The club's board of directors has also appointed Youssef Sameh as the performance analyst for the first team's technical staff under coach Ahmed Nabil Manga.
