Labor Hero Thai Huong: Two-Digit Growth Must Be Built on People and Health

Labor Hero Thai Huong, Chairwoman of the Strategy Council of TH Group, declared that two-digit economic growth must be built upon the health and stature of the Vietnamese people. Speaking at a national emulation launch event, she conveyed a message from the private business community: economic growth should be founded on the well-being, spirit, and health of the nation.

Huong stated that businesses are inspired by the recent historical message from General Secretary and President To Lam about a "new era – an era of national resurgence." She also referenced the strategic direction of the 14th Party Congress. Recalling the leader's directive to "more strongly break through development institutions, remove bottlenecks and obstacles, taking people and businesses as the center," Huong stressed that the ultimate goal of economic development is the prosperous life, spirit, and health of the people.

"Two-digit growth is a strategic goal built on a sustainable physical foundation of the nation. The aspiration of the General Secretary and President is the driving force for TH Group to realize that for a nation to rise, it must first be healthy," she said. Huong expressed confidence in the government's macro action programs and humanitarian thinking, viewing strong commitments to removing financial barriers, unlocking credit flows, and promoting green growth as a "compass" for businesses.

She specifically cited Decision No. 973/QD-TTg on the new School Health Program as a strategic policy demonstrating the government's profound vision for the nation's future. Huong considers this decision the "greatest support" for the private economic sector to dedicate itself to serving the country. For years, school nutrition has been a significant concern for Thai Huong, who has repeatedly emphasized the need for a Law on School Nutrition to institutionalize Party and State policies on healthcare and improving the physical stature of Vietnamese people from the grassroots level.
