Lando Norris Takes Pole Position for Dutch Grand Prix

McLaren driver Lando Norris will start from pole position at the 2026 Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix after topping the qualifying session on Saturday. Norris set a blistering pace at the Zandvoort circuit, recording the fastest lap of 1 minute 11.163 seconds.

Norris's performance in the final qualifying segment (Q3) edged out the Mercedes duo of George Russell, who qualified second, and Kimi Antonelli, who will start third. This marks a significant achievement for Norris and McLaren at the challenging Dutch track.

Earlier in qualifying, Norris had also set the pace in Q2 with a time of 1 minute 11.628 seconds. His teammate, Oscar Piastri, had been fastest in the first qualifying session (Q1) with a time of 1 minute 12.610 seconds, ultimately qualifying fourth for the race.

The grid for the Dutch Grand Prix will see Norris and Russell on the front row, followed by Antonelli and Piastri. Other notable qualifiers include Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) in fifth and Max Verstappen (Red Bull) in seventh.
