Largan Precision, Sunonwealth Placed Under Trading Restrictions from Sept. 3; 38 Stocks Flagged for Attention

Taiwan’s stock exchanges will impose trading restrictions on seven stocks from Sept. 3, including Largan Precision and Sunonwealth, after announcing measures aimed at curbing unusual trading activity.

The Taiwan Stock Exchange and Taipei Exchange said the restrictions on six stocks will run through Sept. 9, covering five trading days. Luen Jen’s restriction will continue through Sept. 11 for seven trading days because it met the threshold for day trading activity.

The restricted stocks include Largan Precision, Sunonwealth, Sunonwealth warrants numbered five, six and seven, Luen Jen and Advanced Ceramic X. During the restriction period, the stocks will use manual matching, with trades matched once every two minutes.

The exchanges also designated 38 listed and over-the-counter stocks as attention stocks. The list includes MediaTek warrants, D-Link, Tyntek, Global Unichip, Largan Precision, Young Optics, Etron Technology, Sunonwealth, GlobalWafers, Testing Research and Yungchi Technology, among others.

The announcements cover both Taiwan-listed companies and over-the-counter securities, including several warrants. They do not state that the companies face enforcement findings beyond the trading measures and alert classifications.
