Late cold snap hits parts of Gangwon, Chungnam, Jeonbuk; latest cold wave advisory on record

The advisory comes as a mass of cold air from the northwest is predicted to cause temperatures to plummet. The affected regions, including mountainous areas of southern Gangwon, and specific areas in Chungcheongnam-do (Gongju, Geumsan) and Jeollabuk-do (Muju), are expected to experience morning lows between 0 and 3 degrees Celsius on April 21st, a significant drop from the previous day.

The previous record for the latest cold advisory was April 13th, 2021.
