Leaked audio: Instructor allegedly calls 911 as student dies

A leaked audio recording has surfaced, allegedly featuring "Estrellita," an instructor at the Doenitz Military Academy in Tamaulipas, Mexico, making a frantic call to emergency services. The call was placed on the day student Dafne Zapata Quintos died, with "Estrellita" reportedly pleading for an ambulance because the 13-year-old was no longer breathing.

In the purported 8-minute call to 911, a voice identified as "Estrellita" can be heard in distress, requesting immediate medical assistance. "Please, ma'am, quickly, because I think a student is dying on me," the voice says, with apparent sobs. The instructor, identified as Estrella “N,” and the academy's director, Jorge Luis “N,” have both been charged with the femicide of Zapata Quintos.

The authenticity of the audio, which was shared by journalist Xiomara Vargas of ABC Noticias Tamaulipas, has not yet been officially confirmed by authorities. In the recording, before speaking to the 911 operator, the voice allegedly asks for help from another person present, believed to be Danna Yanina “N,” who is also detained in connection with the case. The voice is heard telling Danna Yanina to "dress her."

During the call, "Estrellita" reportedly stayed with Dafne Zapata, attempting resuscitation. She provided the emergency operator with an address in Madero municipality, Colonia Primero de Mayo, Sarabia street. The operator confirmed that an ambulance had been dispatched. At one point in the recording, the voice states, "She is foaming at the mouth," as her voice breaks with anguish.
