Lebanon Reports Continued Zionist Aggression Despite Ceasefire

Despite a ceasefire agreement established on June 21, Zionist forces have allegedly continued their aggression against southern Lebanon, according to reports from the Lebanese Press Agency (ANI).

Sunday saw artillery bombardments targeting the heights of Ali al-Taher, near Nabatieh al-Fawqa, and the surrounding areas of Zawtar, Mefidoun, and Doueir-Kfar Remmane. ANI also reported a significant explosion in Zawtar al-Charqiya, with intermittent artillery fire occurring between Mefidoun and Zawtar al-Charqiya.

These alleged violations follow the Lebanese army's deployment in Zawtar al-Gharbiya on July 21, after Zionist forces reportedly withdrew from the town. This withdrawal was noted as the first pilot zone affected by a Zionist pullout under the framework agreement.

The continued actions are described as violations of the ceasefire, occurring amidst warnings about a worsening security and humanitarian situation in the region. The report emphasizes the ongoing nature of these aggressions against Lebanon.
