Lee: Efforts for peaceful coexistence and shared prosperity on the Korean Peninsula will continue

President Lee Jae-myung said South Korea would not waver in its efforts to pursue peaceful coexistence and shared prosperity on the Korean Peninsula.

Lee made the remarks in a video address to the Seoul Defense Dialogue in central Seoul on the 8th. He said trust and dialogue, supported by firm deterrence, would guide the country’s approach.

“Through trust and dialogue based on firm deterrence, we will continue our efforts for peaceful coexistence and shared prosperity on the Korean Peninsula without wavering,” Lee said. He also said South Korea would broaden the horizon for dialogue through mutual respect and cooperation, drawing on its self-reliant defense capabilities.
