Lee Jun-young to enlist in the army on July 21

Actor Lee Jun-young is set to begin his mandatory military service, enlisting as an active-duty soldier on July 21. He will first complete basic military training at an army recruit training center before commencing his service.

Lee Jun-young, 29, shared the news of his enlistment with fans through a heartfelt, handwritten letter posted on his social media accounts last month. In the letter, he expressed that while he initially thought enlistment would be a simple matter of going, receiving the official date prompted deep reflection.

"I thought, 'What's the big deal? I'm just going,'" he wrote. "But once the date was set, I found myself thinking a lot after a long time." He assured his fans of his well-being during his service, promising to return healthy and true to himself.
