Lee Jung-hoo Powers Giants with Season's 6th Homer, Reaches 100 Career RBIs

San Francisco Giants outfielder Lee Jung-hoo showcased a powerful offensive performance, ending a recent slump with his sixth home run of the season and a crucial three-RBI effort in the team's 9-2 win against the Los Angeles Angels. The slugger's timely hitting included a three-run blast that extended his season RBI total to 37 and pushed his Major League Baseball career total past 100.

Playing in front of the home crowd at Oracle Park, Lee came to the plate in the third inning with two outs and runners on first and second. He connected with a sweeping curveball from Angels pitcher Ryan Johnson, sending the ball over the right-field wall for a home run. This blast was his first since June 24, ending a 32-game homerless stretch.

Earlier in the game, Lee had struck out in the second inning. However, he redeemed himself in the third with the home run. In the fifth inning, he added a double to right-center field off left-handed pitcher Brent Sutter. He later reached base on a hit-by-pitch in the seventh inning but was forced out at second base on a ground ball hit by teammate Wilmer Flores.

With this multi-hit performance, Lee's batting average climbed back to .302 (109 hits in 361 at-bats). This marked his 31st multi-hit game of the season. The Giants have now won two consecutive games, improving their record to 44-60 and maintaining their fourth-place position in the National League West.
