Lee Jung-hoo's 5-game hit streak continues, but Giants fall 0-6 to Rangers

San Francisco Giants outfielder Lee Jung-hoo extended his hitting streak to five consecutive games on Saturday, recording one hit in five at-bats against the Texas Rangers. Despite his consistent performance at the plate, which keeps his season batting average at .303, his team suffered a 0-6 defeat.

Lee, batting second and playing right field, singled in the fifth inning off Rangers' starter Cody Bradford. This marked his 121st hit in 399 at-bats for the season. However, the Giants were unable to capitalize on the hit, and it did not lead to any runs. Lee also grounded out in the first inning and was caught in center field in the third. He came to bat again in the seventh and ninth innings but could not add to the hit column.

The Giants managed eight hits in total but failed to score any runs, resulting in their second consecutive loss. With this defeat, San Francisco's season record stands at 48 wins and 67 losses, placing them fourth in the National League West division. The Texas Rangers, meanwhile, secured their second consecutive win, improving their record to 57-58 and solidifying their second-place position in the American League West.
