Lee Sang-soon Suspends Radio Show Over Reduced Vagus Nerve Function, Vowing to Return Healthy

Lee Sang-soon said he has been unable to host his radio program for several days because of neurological symptoms and asked listeners for their understanding.

In an Instagram post on the 6th, Lee apologized for taking a break without explanation. He said he suddenly felt unwell last Wednesday and then underwent several tests and consultations. He is still waiting for more detailed examinations, but doctors advised him to rest because of what they described as reduced vagus nerve function.

Lee said listeners had been worried and that he had delayed writing because he kept hoping he might recover in time to host the next day. He said he would use the opportunity to check his overall condition carefully, recover fully and return in good health.

Lee has hosted MBC Radio’s “A Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon” from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily since November 4, 2024. During the October 26 broadcast, he arrived late after saying he had visited the station’s medical room because he felt unwell. Except for a prerecorded broadcast on the 29th, he did not appear on live broadcasts through the 5th. Lee previously performed with the band Roller Coaster and married singer Lee Hyori in 2013.
