Lee Ya-young startled by fire dance on variety show, calls it a 'special' experience

Korean celebrity Lee Ya-young found herself in a series of thrilling and surprising situations while filming the variety show 'Variety New Era' in Nantou, Taiwan. Joining hosts like Lemon, Ah Xiang, and Yang Xiu-hui, along with guest Ma Guo-bi, Lee Ya-young experienced activities far outside her usual routine. Her initial encounter with a close-up fire dance performance left her visibly shaken. "This is my first time!" she exclaimed, startled by the proximity of the flames. Despite her initial fear, she bravely participated, interacting with the fire and describing the experience as "very special." The episode also included a segment on stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) in Sun Moon Lake. Lee Ya-young, who holds a Pilates instructor certification, was encouraged to perform stretches on the SUP board but hesitated due to it being her first time. Meanwhile, Yang Xiu-hui's attempt at difficult moves led to Ma Guo-bi playfully capsizing her board, much to the amusement of the others. Later, a "board running" competition tested the participants' balance and speed. Lemon's energetic attempt ended with a splash, while Yang Xiu-hui adopted a comical crawling style. Ah Xiang was the only one to successfully reach the finish line, earning him and Lemon the chance to taste a famous local dish, "President Fish." The group also visited a stunning flower sea in Sun Moon Lake, where golden lilies and verbena created a romantic landscape. During a discussion about the flowers, Lemon shared that in ancient Rome, verbena was known as "Venus's herb." Lee Ya-young playfully inhaled the scent, pretending to fall in love, only to turn and find Ma Guo-bi, prompting laughter with the joke, "No许光汉 (Xu Guanghan), only a wanderer."
