Legislator urges equal economic opportunities for people with visual disabilities

The PDI-P politician said assistance should go beyond social welfare payments. People with disabilities also need access to skills development and opportunities to earn income independently, he said. They should be recognized as people capable of working and achieving economic independence, not simply as recipients of aid.

Kariyasa described equal access to opportunity as an important part of inclusive development.
