Les Engagés to Replace Administrator Over Vote for Foyer Anderlechtois President

The political party Les Engagés in Brussels has announced it will propose a new administrator to replace Safa Madrane, who voted in favor of Lotfi Mostefa's return to the presidency of Foyer anderlechtois, a public service real estate company.

Les Engagés stated on Thursday that they "refuse to endorse the return of Lotfi Mostefa" to the presidency, a decision made by the company's board of directors on Wednesday evening. The party emphasized that Madrane's vote was a "political choice" entirely at odds with their movement's stance.

According to Les Engagés, Madrane has not held a party membership card for over a year. The party plans to nominate a new candidate for both the communal college and council to replace Madrane on the board of directors.

The party expressed significant concern over Mostefa's return, citing "deeply contested governance," "dysfunctions highlighted by audits," and "numerous revelations" from a parliamentary inquiry. This inquiry was launched following suspicions of irregularities and alleged cronyism in the allocation of housing within Foyer anderlechtois.
