Lia Cueva wins bronze for Mexico in World Junior Diving Championships

Mexico's medal count at the World Junior Diving Championships in Rijeka, Croatia, continues to climb, showcasing the nation's burgeoning talent in the sport. Lia Cueva added a bronze medal to Mexico's tally, securing third place in the 10-meter platform competition in the B category (14-15 years old).

Cueva achieved a total score of 331.55 points, placing her behind China's Yuehan Jiang and Qingcheng Yuan, who won silver and gold, respectively. This impressive performance follows her gold medal win in the three-meter synchronized diving event alongside her sister, Mia Cueva. Mia Cueva also competed in the 10-meter platform, finishing in sixth place.

This bronze medal represents Mexico's sixth medal overall at the championship, which includes two gold, three silver, and one bronze. The strong showing places Mexico among the top-performing delegations at the event, underscoring the effectiveness of its national diving programs and coaching.
