Liam and Noel Gallagher reunite in Venice for premiere of “Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger”

The Gallagher brothers kept Venice waiting until the last moment. Liam and Noel Gallagher skipped the press conference for “Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger” and seemed likely to miss the red carpet, but then emerged unexpectedly from inside the Palazzo del Cinema.

Fans had already lost hope after the film’s directors, Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, and screenwriter Steven Knight appeared to have completed the arrival. Photographers had begun sending their images when the crowd’s shouts signaled a change in the evening. Liam appeared first, followed moments later by Noel, reigniting the excitement and camera flashes.

The brothers had arrived by water taxi at the Venice Film Festival earlier in the morning. They smiled for cameras and shared the moment on social media, but did not make statements during the presentation with the directors and screenwriter. On the red carpet, they posed unhurriedly for photographers and approached the crowd to sign autographs. They were pictured holding hands with their fists raised.

Their appearance came amid anticipation that they might comment on rumors of a new tour. The conference schedule had not included their names, making the red carpet their most awaited public moment. “Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger” begins with the cancellation of the band’s Paris show and the rest of its European tour in August 2009. It then follows the brothers’ announced reconciliation in 2024 and their return to the stage together.

The film shows rehearsals and the Oasis Live ’25 Tour from inside, along with fans’ excitement and the brothers’ first joint interview in more than two decades. The tour began on July 4, 2025, in Cardiff, United Kingdom. Faye Dunaway and the cast providing the voices for an audio adaptation of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” were among those also present at the screening’s red carpet.
