Lianya revenue hits record NT$520 million in August, sending shares higher

Lianya’s August consolidated revenue reached NT$520 million, setting a new record as shipments of its data-center products increased. Revenue rose 3.79% from July and 1.8 times from the same month last year.

The optical communications company reported cumulative revenue of NT$3.147 billion for the first eight months, up 1.29 times year on year. Its shares opened higher, fell briefly below the previous close and ended the session up NT$50 at NT$3,170, a gain of 1.6%.

Foreign investors said Lianya’s penetration of the silicon photonics market was increasing and forecast that revenue could grow month by month. They expect third-quarter revenue to rise more than 20% from the previous quarter.

Lianya’s board recently approved five major procurement and equipment agreements. They include a four-year contract with a U.S. customer to supply continuous-wave lasers for data centers. The company also signed long-term agreements with suppliers in the United States and Japan for indium phosphide substrates, aiming to secure stable access to key raw materials. It plans to invest about NT$3.26 billion in additional production equipment.

Lianya said the long-term contracts and equipment purchases would support its future financial and business development. Analysts said the company was preparing simultaneously for orders, materials and capacity expansion, reflecting confidence in its future operations.
