Libya's business union hosts Japanese official to boost economic ties

Mohamed Al-Raied, Chairman of Libya’s General Union of Chambers of Commerce, welcomed Onishi Yohei, Japan's Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, and his delegation to Misrata last Tuesday. The meeting, held at the Historic Building, was also attended by key figures including Shimura Izuru, Japan's Ambassador to Libya, and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Civil Society Commission in Misrata.

The General Union of Chambers stated that the visit's primary objectives were to bolster existing bilateral ties between Libya and Japan. Discussions focused on prospects for joint economic cooperation and identifying new investment opportunities designed to support development and foster partnerships between the two nations.
