Libya's Petroleum Facilities Guard Documents Drone Attack on Zawia Refinery

Libya's Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) has officially documented the crash of a first-person view (FPV) drone into a fuel tank at the Zawia Oil Refinery. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, and the PFG's media department captured images of the damaged oil tank and the drone's wreckage.

The PFG, responsible for protecting Libya's oil and gas infrastructure, condemned the attack in the strongest terms. They described targeting vital facilities as a serious criminal act and a blatant assault on state resources, national wealth, and the safety of personnel. The guard emphasized that such attacks pose grave risks to the nation's security, economy, and stability.

Affirming their commitment to national duty, the PFG stated that any harm to oil facilities or their personnel will not be taken lightly. The PFG warned that continued targeting of these facilities endangers innocent lives and harms the interests of the Libyan people.
