Libyan-Tunisian ''Joint Oil'' announces new bid round schedule for Zarat Development and Joint Oil Block Exploration Acreage

The Libyan-Tunisian Joint Oil Exploration, Exploitation and Petroleum Services Company (Joint Oil) has unveiled a new schedule for its bid round concerning the Zarat Development and Joint Oil Block Exploration Acreage. This offshore area, situated in the Gabes-Tripoli Basin in the central Mediterranean, is highlighted as a significant opportunity for cross-border energy collaboration between Tunisia and Libya.

The new bid round is set to officially open on September 7, 2026, and will conclude on December 31, 2026. Interested and credible companies with demonstrated offshore exploration and development expertise are invited to seek access to the Virtual Data Room (VDR), which is managed by Moyes & Co.

Submissions for bids must be received no later than January 8, 2027. Joint Oil plans to inform the winning bidders by February 26, 2027, with the formal awarding of contracts anticipated by April 30, 2027.

Further details about this exploration opportunity will be presented at the London Mediterranean, Middle East & Africa Scout Group (MMEA) on September 9, 2026. Joint Oil will also have a presence at the World Energy Summit in London on September 29-30, 2026, where they will host a booth.
