Lidl continues cutting prices on nuts, dried fruit and other snacks

Lidl Lithuania is extending its price-cutting campaign to the snack aisle, with lower prices on nuts, dried fruit and several types of crisps.

The reductions include 200-gram packs of walnuts at 2.69 euros, Brazil nuts at 3.99 euros and almonds at 2.99 euros. A 150-gram pack of cashews will cost 2.39 euros. Roasted cashews and peanuts in 200-gram packs will cost 2.29 euros, while a 500-gram pack of Jumbo roasted peanuts will cost 1.99 euros.

Prices have also fallen for dried fruit and other snacks. A 200-gram pack of Thompson Jumbo raisins costs 1.49 euros, while 100 grams of dried mango costs 2.29 euros. Bread crisps are priced at 1.59 euros for 140 grams, potato chips at 1.79 euros for 175 grams, and salted cheese-flavored bread sticks at 1.79 euros for 150 grams. A 200-gram pack of tortilla chips costs 1.39 euros.

Ovidija Ferencienė, Lidl Lithuania’s head of corporate communications, said the company was steadily lowering everyday prices to offer customers variety and affordable options. The company has also introduced refreshed Alesto packaging. Lidl says the brand includes natural, salted and flavored nuts, nut mixes and dried fruit, processed and packaged at Solent plants in Germany operated by Schwarz Produktion.
