Limburg province implements action plan after employee files complaint over leadership style

The provincial government of Limburg is taking steps to address internal tensions after an employee filed a formal complaint against a deputy and a member of the board. The grievance centers on the direct leadership style exhibited by the duo, prompting the province to act swiftly to restore a calm working environment.

Sources indicate that the employee has had ongoing issues with the deputy and board member, who allegedly sought to reassign the employee to a different role. This move reportedly led to conflict. Conversely, there are also suggestions that the employee has not been performing their duties diligently, contributing to the strained relationship.

The complaint against a colleague-deputy and a personnel manager concerns the direct leadership style.

Following the complaint, which was filed before the summer break, the matter was escalated to Mensura, an external service specializing in workplace prevention and protection. Mensura investigated the complaint and subsequently provided a report containing recommendations for resolution. Provincial deputy Inge Moors confirmed that the province is committed to implementing these suggestions.
