Lin Rong San Literary Award Submissions Closing Soon

The 22nd Lin Rong San Literary Award is nearing its submission deadline, with entries due by July 31st. Organized by the Lin Rong San Cultural Public Welfare Foundation and co-organized by Liberty Times, the award aims to foster literary creation in Taiwan and encourage authors to express the vitality of life through their work.

Eligibility is open to all citizens of the Republic of China. The award features several categories: Short Story, with prizes up to NT$600,000 for the first prize; Essay, with top prizes of NT$250,000; New Poetry, offering up to NT$200,000 for first place; and a Prose category with ten winners each receiving NT$30,000.

Submissions must be original works written in Chinese and must not have been previously published in any form, including personal blogs or social media. The foundation strictly prohibits plagiarism and AI-generated content. Applicants can submit either handwritten or typed manuscripts, with specific formatting requirements for word counts and line counts depending on the category. All submissions must be sent via registered mail to the foundation's address in New Taipei City.
