LINAFOOT Play-offs: TP Mazembe extends lead, Vita Club's African hopes fade

TP Mazembe has strengthened its lead in the Congolese National Football League (LINAFOOT) play-offs after a decisive 3-0 victory over CS Don Bosco. Goals from Satala Saïdi Assani, Christopher Samangua, and Faverdi Bongeli secured the win, bringing Mazembe's total points to 27 and putting them in a strong position to claim the title.

The matchday 13 results saw a shift at the top as Aigles du Congo were held to a 1-1 draw by AS Maniema Union. This slip allowed Mazembe to reclaim the first place. Aigles du Congo now sit in second with 26 points, while AS Maniema Union remains a solid contender in the upper half of the table.

Meanwhile, AS Vita Club's hopes of qualifying for next season's African interclub competitions have been severely diminished following a 1-1 draw with AS Simba. This result leaves the club facing an uphill battle in the remaining fixtures. Saint-Éloi Lupopo also saw their ambitions checked by a 1-1 draw against Céleste FC, setting up a final-day fight for improved positioning.
