Lion Ceccah's Career: A Shift After Eurovision

Lithuanian artist Lion Ceccah is marking a significant shift in his career with the release of a new mini-album that delves into his recent Eurovision experience. He confessed that the idea of a mini-album wasn't initially planned but emerged from a strong desire to create something new while still riding the wave of public anticipation following his participation in the contest.

I actually didn't think about a mini-album, but I really wanted to create something again, to do something, because, like it or not, you are on some kind of hot wave when people are waiting for something, asking for it.

Ceccah described the post-Eurovision period as draining, making it challenging to immediately jump into a new project. However, while revisiting an old song, he realized its themes of seeking attention at any cost perfectly encapsulated his Eurovision journey. This realization sparked a broader reflection on the emptiness that can accompany such pursuits, leading to a more sarcastic look at his past and the creation of the new material.

The mini-album includes tracks like "Machine," born from his memorable "I am a machine" statement during Eurovision, and "Liūdna," which he describes as embodying a very Lithuanian feeling and a departure from his previous work. He views the album as a collection of songs, each telling a different part of his Eurovision story, mirroring the eclectic nature of the contest itself.

The song is a sarcastic view of that past of mine. From this, the thought also arose that it is necessary to cover a larger part of what happened there.

Concluding the "silver boy" era, Ceccah announced a new creative chapter characterized by more experimentation and a desire to collaborate with other artists. He anticipates this next phase will be somewhat chaotic but filled with the exploration of new artistic possibilities.

The song 'Liūdna' is about a very Lithuanian feeling. I really wanted such a song. I wanted to release something far from my previous work and close to Lithuania.
