Lithuania's Cyber Security Center to Release Hacking Details Cautiously to Protect Investigation

Lithuania's National Cyber Security Center (NKSC) is actively investigating a suspected cyber intrusion targeting employee accounts within the Ministry of Interior (VRM) and its subordinate institutions. The center confirmed that the probe encompasses around 50 employee accounts, signaling a potentially significant security incident.

Antanas Aleknavičius, director of the NKSC, stated that the center will release more specific details regarding the breach only after ensuring that such disclosures will not compromise the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
