The most successful mushroom hunting grounds are currently in the Aukštaitija and Suvalkija regions, where enthusiasts are sharing their impressive hauls online.

Despite the widespread excitement, some traditional mushroom hotspots are reporting a scarcity. In Varėna, often dubbed the 'mushroom capital' of Lithuania, foragers have yet to find any porcini mushrooms this season. This local disappointment contrasts sharply with the abundance of chanterelles, which are currently flooding market stalls and delighting shoppers.

The chanterelle season appears to be in full swing, with vendors' tables laden with the golden mushrooms.
