Lithuania's U16 Team to Face Serbia in European Championship Opener

The Lithuanian U16 national basketball team is set to compete in the European Championship in Romania, where they have been placed in Group A. Their tournament journey begins with a match against Serbia on Friday at 8:30 PM. The team will then face Poland on Saturday at 3:30 PM, followed by a game against host nation Romania on Sunday at 6:00 PM.

Notable on the Lithuanian roster is Danielius Jasikevičius, son of former basketball player Vytenius Jasikevičius and nephew of the celebrated coach Šarūnas Jasikevičius. The team's coaching and support staff have also been confirmed, with Dovydas Petraitis serving as head coach. Other staff members include assistant coaches Gytis Krugelevičius and Justas Četkauskas, physical training coach Guoda Marmaitė, kinesiotherapist Gabrielė Čeponytė, and team manager Mindaugas Lukauskis.

Other groups in the championship include Group B with Turkey, Italy, Latvia, and the Czech Republic.
