Lithuania’s YouTube Review: Pikul and Dirkstys Stir Up the Scene

Skirmantas Malinauskas took over the top spot in Lithuania’s August YouTube rankings from July leader Aurimas Valujavičius. His three videos collected 588,000 views, including 231,000 for an interview with the Pinskų family’s financial manager.

Valujavičius remained the most productive creator among the monitored channels. He published 31 videos and recorded 2.4 million views, the highest total in the survey. WhyDotas, the channel of Vaidotas Grincevičius, ranked third after its video titled “I’M QUITTING YOUTUBE... I’M HANDING THE CHANNEL OVER TO SOMEONE ELSE” attracted 204,000 views.

The month’s most-watched individual video came from “ANT LAUŽO TV.” Dominykas Kubilius’s conversation with actor Giedrius Savickas drew 318,000 views. Guest appearances also brought strong audiences to programs featuring Oksana Pikul, Dominykas Dirkstys and Paulius Samoška.

Holiday schedules reshaped the top 20. Eleven monitored channels posted no new videos in August, including Paulius Samoška, who had ranked second in July. Even without a new upload on his own channel, he appeared on “nešvankūs,” where an episode featuring a test about who was not from the Žemaitija region became the channel’s most-watched video, with 237,000 views. “nešvankūs” rose from 11th to fourth after five August videos passed one million combined views, including a new format visiting Lithuania’s worst-rated restaurants.

Other popular themes included a quiz for a €1,000 prize on “HIPARIKAI,” a new basketball reality show on “90-ųjų kioskas,” and discussions about Oksana Pikul’s relationship with Dominykas Dirkstys. The gaming community focused on GTA 6 leaks, while sports programs debated Lithuania’s national team before World Cup qualifying and the new Žalgiris Kaunas lineup.
