Lithuania Weather: Mixed Week Ahead with Sun, Showers, and Thunderstorms

Lithuania is set for a varied weather week, beginning with predominantly sunny conditions under the influence of an anticyclone. Tuesday will see mild nights around 10-15 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs reaching 23-28 degrees. While the south may experience brief, light showers and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon, winds will remain light from the east.

Wednesday promises a dry and clear morning, with temperatures climbing to 11-16 degrees overnight. By afternoon, the western parts of the country could see an instability line forming, bringing short-lived rain and thunderstorms, particularly in the evening. Winds will be moderate from the south to southwest, with stronger gusts of 15-17 m/s possible during thunderstorms. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach 27-32 degrees, dropping to 24-26 degrees near the coast.

Thursday marks a shift as a cold atmospheric front moves across Lithuania. Most regions can expect rain and thunderstorms overnight, accompanied by moderate westerly winds. Overnight lows will be between 15-20 degrees. During the day, the rain will become more localized, mainly in the southeastern parts, with isolated thunderstorms still possible. Temperatures will rebound to 26-31 degrees, though cooler in western areas at 22-25 degrees.

Friday is also forecast to be damp. Short-duration rain and thunderstorms are expected in many areas during the day and in some places at night. Winds will strengthen from the west to 7-12 m/s during the day, while overnight temperatures will drop to 13-18 degrees. Daytime highs will return to 22-27 degrees. Current data suggests a lower probability of rain for the upcoming weekend, with light winds and temperatures ranging from 11-16 degrees at night to around 19-24 degrees during the day.
