The decision to cancel the concert was made by the event organizers, "Hos Mormor." In a statement shared on social media, they cited the national mourning period declared in Norway following the recent death of King Harald V as the reason for the cancellation. The organizers expressed their sadness in announcing the change of plans for the musical evening.

"With sadness, we announce that due to the death of Norway's King Harald V and the national mourning declared in the country, the planned musical evening by Jolanta and Valdas, which was to take place on August 29 in Rakkestad, is canceled," the organizers stated. The "Hos Mormor" team extended their condolences to the royal family and the Norwegian people. They also apologized to the event attendees for any inconvenience caused and thanked them for their understanding.
