Lithuanian Businesswomen Gather for Exclusive Evening, Marčiulionis' Wife Among Guests

The Lithuanian business community celebrated the end of summer with an exclusive gathering at the luxurious "Esperanza Lake Resort," nestled in the scenic Aukštadvaris Regional Park. The event, organized by the Business Women's Club "BPW Vilnius Chamber," part of the international "BPW International" organization, brought together over 80 distinguished guests from Lithuania, Spain, and Cyprus.

Among the attendees were several prominent figures, including Laura Marčiulionienė, the wife of legendary Lithuanian basketball player Šarūnas Marčiulionis, who is rarely seen in public. The evening also welcomed beauty contest winner Asta Muralytė, education leader Tatjana Liubertienė, TV host Edvardas Žičkus, singer Silvija Pankūnaitė-Micutė, photographer Greta Skaraitienė, lawyer Rasa Vaičekauskytė, and many other representatives from business, culture, and public life.

The "Yellow Evening" theme, symbolizing sun, light, energy, and optimism, underscored the event's focus on women's leadership, mutual support, and solidarity. The program included performances by the historical dance studio "Baltoji Pavana" and a moving candle-lighting ceremony, a tradition of "BPW International" symbolizing women's economic independence, equal opportunities, and international unity.

The Business Women's Club is an important part of the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts community, also operating within the broad international BPW network. Today we see not only a growing number of members but also an increasingly strong team ready to implement ambitious projects.

Gintarė Danilevičė, a leader at the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Crafts, highlighted the club's growth and ambitious plans, including hosting the international "BPW Europe" conference in Vilnius in 2028, aiming to gather around 700 businesswomen. Irma Spudienė, vice president of the Chamber and president of "BPW Vilnius Chamber," emphasized the meaningful connections forged during the evening and the power of community.

Beyond networking and celebrating achievements, the event also served a charitable purpose. A "Gerumo aukcionas" (Charity Auction) was held, with proceeds likely supporting various causes, further demonstrating the businesswomen's commitment to giving back.
