Lithuanian content creator Indrė Burlinskaitė-Vaisieta, known for her striking personal style, has shared her approach to fashion. Described as bold, minimalist, elegant, sharp, and provocative, her style embraces a no-compromise attitude.

Vilnius Fashion Week is not just a fashion event, but also an opportunity to grow and strengthen Lithuania's fashion culture. I want Vilnius to have a strong, internationally visible fashion week that provides a platform for our creators, designers, and the entire fashion industry. Personally, I am very pleased to contribute to the growth of fashion in Vilnius, making it bolder, more interesting, and attracting more attention not only in Lithuania but also beyond its borders.

Burlinskaitė-Vaisieta, recently appointed as the ambassador for Vilnius Fashion Week, believes the event is a unique opportunity to experience bolder fashion and foster Lithuania's fashion culture. She aims to help establish Vilnius as a city with a strong, internationally recognized fashion week that provides a platform for local designers and the industry.

Her personal style philosophy centers on balance, often featuring one or two standout pieces around which the rest of the outfit is built. She prioritizes classic, durable handbags and footwear, believing that trendy items acquired solely for their current fashionability often fail to satisfy in the long run. Burlinskaitė-Vaisieta also noted her preference for dresses that create a "wow" effect, even if comfort is secondary.

My style is about balance. I choose one, maximum two standout details that become the focal point of the entire combination. For example, if I wear distinctive shoes, I choose minimalist clothing; if I wear a skirt, the top is modest; if the skirt is long, I pair it with a crop top; if the dress is bold, everything else is subdued. The hairstyle is also important – it often becomes the main accent.

She finds inspiration in Rococo and interwar fashion, particularly admiring the costumes in films from the latter period. Burlinskaitė-Vaisieta maintains a minimalist wardrobe, believing fewer items lead to less chaos. She readily parts with clothes that no longer serve a purpose, especially accessories, to keep her looks orderly.

I prioritize handbags and footwear, but I choose them very carefully – only classic, timeless pieces. From experience, I know that a handbag bought solely because it is fashionable at the moment does not meet expectations in the long run.

Vilnius Fashion Week is scheduled to take place from August 28 to September 7, featuring collections from Lithuanian and international designers, discussions, a Sustainable Fashion Day, the "The Bridge" cultural diplomacy initiative, "ELLE Iconic Night," and events for young designers. This year's event will focus on sustainability, cultural diplomacy, nurturing young talent, and international cooperation.

When wearing dresses, I don't think about comfort – I always look for something interesting and unexpected. The most important thing is not whether it will be comfortable, but whether I will shine in it. I think a dress's function is to create a 'wow' effect effortlessly.
