Lithuanian Government and Unions Agree on 5-Year Plan for Officer Salary Increases

Lithuanian police officers are set to see improvements in their compensation and working conditions following an agreement between unions and the government. Ineta Kursevičienė, the chairwoman of the National Union of Police Professionals (NPPSS), announced that Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius has confirmed the preparation of a comprehensive five-year plan.

This plan will specifically focus on increasing police salaries and enhancing overall working conditions for officers across the country. Kursevičienė stated she received official confirmation from the Prime Minister regarding the imminent development of this strategic initiative.
