Lithuanian influencer Norbė builds 'Norbering' drift track, attracting Polish enthusiasts

Professional drift racer and influencer N. Daunoravičius, widely known as Norbė, is transforming a disused driving track in Kailiniai village, Lazdijai district, into his "life project": 'Norbering'. The 1.3-kilometer track is designed as a legal and safe space for various automotive activities, including training, car testing, events, and meetups for like-minded individuals.

I realized it early in childhood, my father and cousin also loved cars, so I wanted to learn to drive as soon as possible and immerse myself in the world of cars.

Although still under development, Norbering has already hosted initial events, drawing car sports enthusiasts from Poland. The project is gradually establishing itself not only as a hub for car lovers but also as a new point of attraction for the Lazdijai region. Norbė, who has been involved with cars since childhood, credits his perseverance as a key trait for achieving his goals, including the ambitious Norbering track.

Reflecting on his journey, Norbė shared that cars transitioned from a hobby to a career path early in his life, influenced by his father and cousin. He emphasizes the importance of authenticity in content creation, stating, "If you do what you believe in, what you love, you convey that to the viewer, you interest them. That's better than trying to please someone." He started uploading content to YouTube in 2011, initially as a hobby that has since grown into a significant business, now inseparable from his life and the Norbering project.

Norbė approaches criticism with resilience, focusing his energy on achieving his goals rather than dwelling on negative comments. He is particularly drawn to drifting for its versatility, noting that a drift track can be created in almost any environment. This sport, he explains, allows drivers to showcase their skills and outperform rivals even with less advanced vehicles, with each drift run being a unique experience. His first serious drift car was a modified BMW E36 sedan.
