Lithuanian musician BENCE officially joins 'Hipokritai' band

Lithuanian artist BENCE, known to audiences from "X Faktorius" and "Chorų mūšis," has officially joined the music group "Hipokritai." While his involvement with the band's creative process, music production, and concerts has been ongoing, his official membership marks a new chapter.

"The longer we worked together, the more obvious it became that Benas deserved to be in front of the stage, not behind the scenes," said E. Bechter, a member of "Hipokritai." "Lithuania has long seen his talent, charisma, and ability to captivate an audience. This was a natural step for us."

The band's new music video draws inspiration from the iconic television dating show "Kitas." Creators describe it as a nostalgic and humorous look at a familiar format, keeping plot details under wraps to preserve the surprise. "I can only say that not everything in the clip is as it seems at first glance," E. Bechter shared with a smile.

Kaunas-based paramedic Paulina Anužytė plays a significant role in the video. BENCE also utilized his acting experience, honed over four years at "Vilnius Acting Studio," to portray a character starkly different from his usual charismatic persona. He deliberately adopted a more modest, quirky, and awkward character, stepping outside his comfort zone.

"If you're playing yourself, it's not a big challenge. This time, it was interesting to try something completely opposite. It's fun to step out of your comfort zone and see what happens," said B. Povilonis. E. Bechter noted BENCE's willingness to appear funny or awkward for the role, which made the character convincing. Many memorable moments in the video emerged spontaneously during filming, including a staged punch to the stomach of Matas Stebuliauskas, founder of the "KNOCK" store, where a scene was filmed.
