Lithuanian parliament's judicial appointments spark controversy

A dispute has erupted in Lithuania following the parliament's (Seimas) decision not to appoint Nerijus Meilutis and Marius Bartninkas to prominent judicial roles. The Judges' Association has publicly criticized the Seimas' move, contending that it diminishes judicial professionalism.
