Lithuanian police struggle to conclude drug case against Oleg Šurajevas

Lithuanian law enforcement is continuing an investigation into Oleg Šurajevas, who is suspected of drug possession. Šurajevas has been charged with allegedly possessing narcotic or psychotropic substances without the intent to distribute them, a violation of Article 259, Part 1 of the Criminal Code.

When asked about the prolonged duration of the investigation, which is considered relatively straightforward, a prosecutor's office representative stated that they are "awaiting conclusions." It remains unclear whether these conclusions refer to expert analyses of the substances found or other aspects of the case. Typically, such investigations involve forensic examinations of seized drugs and other evidence, as well as potential examinations of the suspects themselves.
