Lithuanian Singer in London Releases New Song Inspired by Life's Journey

Lithuanian artist Jolanta Naruševičiūtė, who has resided in London for 27 years, is releasing a new song that reflects her journey through life's challenges and successes. The track, penned by Mr. Jumbo, captures the essence of her vibrant and often difficult life lived far from her homeland. Mr. Jumbo shared that writing the song felt remarkably smooth, as if he perfectly understood Naruševičiūtė's story and inner world.

The song was recorded in Kaunas at Giedrius's music studio. Giedrius, a guitarist and rock music producer known in Lithuania since winning a best guitarist competition in 2006, also plays in Džordana Butkutė's live band and founded the group "Hansanova." During the recording, Giedrius noted a new depth in Naruševičiūtė's voice, particularly in its higher register, which they decided to fully explore in the song's conclusion. He mused whether this vocal liberation was connected to her strengthened spirit after overcoming hardships.

This musical collaboration is a natural extension of their long-standing friendship, which began before the pandemic during a Džordana Butkutė concert in London. Naruševičiūtė recalled Mr. Jumbo sending her the song's chorus as a joke, but it deeply resonated with her, fulfilling a long-sought musical desire. To bring the song to life visually, Mr. Jumbo traveled to London for an intensive 10-hour filming marathon with Naruševičiūtė and local Lithuanian event organizers and videographer Mindaugas Narbutas. They explored diverse London locations, including Camden Town and the area near Tower Bridge, where the song's upbeat rhythm even drew spontaneous support from passersby.

Naruševičiūtė expressed her enjoyment of the filming process, embracing the city's energy and diversity. She feels she has returned to her path after facing life's difficulties, with a renewed desire to perform, create, and ascend. The music video captures her connection to London, a city that has been her home and a place of personal growth and resilience.
