Live Nation Acquires Majority Stake in Buenos Aires' Movistar Arena

Live Nation Entertainment, a global leader in live entertainment, has significantly expanded its presence in Latin America by acquiring a majority stake in Movistar Arena Buenos Aires. This strategic move solidifies the arena's international standing and signals a new phase of growth for one of the region's premier indoor entertainment venues. LA NACION, the arena's owner, will retain a substantial minority share, underscoring its continued commitment to the venue's development. Since its opening in 2019, Movistar Arena Buenos Aires has established itself as a key player in the live entertainment industry. With a capacity of 15,000 spectators, it hosts over 250 events annually, attracting more than 2.5 million attendees, positioning it among the world's most active arenas. The partnership with Live Nation, which produces 44,000 shows globally each year, is expected to enhance the arena's business operations through its extensive international reach. The existing management team will continue to lead the arena's operations, maintaining its open-access model for all promoters.
