Liverpool held to a 2-2 draw by Nottingham Forest at Anfield

Liverpool dropped points at Anfield for the second consecutive match, drawing 2-2 with Nottingham Forest in a dramatic Premier League encounter. The result mirrored their opening-day fixture against Newcastle, which also ended in a 2-2 stalemate.

Nottingham Forest took an early lead in the 24th minute when Dan Ndoye finished neatly into the far corner after a pass from Morgan Gibbs-White. Liverpool thought they had equalized in the 32nd minute through Florian Wirtz, but the goal was disallowed for offside.

After the break, Liverpool pushed for an equalizer, and it came in the 60th minute from Alexander Isak, who converted from close range following a cross from Cody Gakpo. However, the visitors regained their advantage ten minutes later. Alisson Becker conceded a penalty after fouling Neco Williams, and Gibbs-White converted from the spot to put Forest 2-1 up.

Liverpool found a second equalizer in the 82nd minute when Victor Munoz scored his first goal for the club with a well-placed shot into the net after a pass from Wirtz. Despite late pressure, Liverpool could not find a winner, and the points were shared.
