Ljubljana Man Caught with 100,000 Euros of Drugs in Austria

Austrian highway police apprehended a 35-year-old man from Ljubljana near the Karavanke Tunnel, discovering a significant quantity of drugs in his vehicle. The man was traveling towards Austria amidst the busy summer tourist traffic.

During a check at a border control point just after the tunnel, police stopped the man's car. While the exact reason for the stop is unclear, authorities found a brown paper bag inside the vehicle. This bag contained a rectangular package wrapped in brown tape, marked with the designation 'ZE'.

Upon inspection, the package was found to contain half a kilogram of heroin. The estimated street value of the seized drugs in Austria is approximately 100,000 euros. The man, identified as being from Ljubljana, Slovenia, now faces serious charges.
