Local roots give incumbent edge in Gemencheh seat defense

Suhaimizan Bizar, the incumbent for the Gemencheh state seat, believes his status as a "local son" gives him a distinct advantage in the upcoming Negeri Sembilan state election. He emphasizes his deep roots in Gemencheh, having been born there and actively serving the community for over 15 years through youth movements and non-governmental organizations.

"My advantage is that I am a local," Suhaimizan stated. "I was born here, my parents are also from here, and I have long served the community in this area." He noted that his involvement began in his school days and continued after his studies, never leaving the area except for education.

Suhaimizan also pointed to the strong collaboration between Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) machinery during the campaign, expressing confidence in their chances of victory. He observed positive reception from voters across various ethnic groups, including Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Orang Asli communities, as well as strong commitment from the youth.

Looking ahead, Suhaimizan outlined key priorities if given another mandate. These include realizing affordable housing projects, specifically around 200 units under the "Skim Perumahan Keluarga Rakyat" (SPKR), and providing land lots for the second generation of village residents. He also plans to bring small industries to Gemencheh by identifying suitable sites and aims to establish a full-boarding school, a proposal that was initiated but not completed during his previous term.
