The defense views this case not as a political liability for Lula, but as a potential "trump card" for his 2026 campaign, precisely because it allows for comparisons between the two families. Carvalho also sarcastically noted that the opposition's insistence on breaking Lulinha's confidentiality in the CPMI of INSS ultimately aided the defense by exposing, in his view, the lack of irregularities.
