Luzhu Urban Plan Approved, Aiming to Build Northern Kaohsiung Tech Hub With Affordable Housing

Kaohsiung City's Urban Planning Committee has approved the first phase of the Luzhu Urban Plan revision, signaling a significant step towards developing a new technology city in northern Kaohsiung. The plan aligns with the central government's "Southern New Silicon Valley Promotion Plan" and the southern semiconductor industry belt development strategy.

The initiative seeks to leverage the upcoming MRT Okuyama-Luzhu extension to guide the integrated development of industries, residential areas, transportation, and public facilities. The goal is to establish a northern Kaohsiung technology hub that balances industrial growth with livable conditions and sustainable development, ultimately boosting the region's overall competitiveness.

Despite the ambitious development plans, property prices in Luzhu and Hunei districts remain relatively low, reportedly in the NT$200,000s per ping. This suggests potential for growth and investment as the area transforms into a technology-focused urban center.
